Phil Brooks, better known as CM Punk, will make his big octagon return at UFC 225. After it recently having been made official that CM Punk will be opening the live pay-per-view card, the professional wrestler turned fighter has come forward with his thoughts on where he should be on in the bout order.
CM Punk made his big mixed martial arts debut against Mickey Gall, suffering a devastating submission loss to the fighter. Punk was sent back to the proverbial drawing boards for nearly two years before revealing his next match up.
Now Punk is set to make his big return against Mike Jackson, another fighter to lose in his octagon debut against Mickey Gall. The two fighters will face off at UFC 225. The highly anticipated event will take place June 9 inside the United Center in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois.
Taking to Twitter, MMA legend Mark Coleman first offered his thoughts on Punk earning a PPV main card slot for UFC 225.
“Sometimes u have to make exceptions.$ I’m excited for this fight . I wish @CMPunk the best! But I understand.”

Punk later responded by claiming that he would have no issue being the first fight on the UFC Fight Pass prelims.
“I understand too. If it was up to me, I’d be first fight on fight pass. Don’t matter to me. Fans like to be outraged by stuff that doesn’t matter. (Appreciate the support Mr. Coleman!!!!! You’re truly the man)”
