Dan Henderson and Mauricio Rua are both mixed martial arts veterans. Now it would appear that the two legends of the sport are being immortalized within the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s hall of fame.
UFC officials made the announcement during the recent live UFC 224 pay-per-view broadcast. The UFC 139 Dan Henderson vs. Mauricio Rua match is set to join the “fight” wing of the UFC Hall of Fame.
The octagon war was certainly one deserving. A five round battle for division supremacy, Henderson and Rua pummeled each other with a bevy of shots that each pulled the local crowd from their seats and onto their feet.
In the end, Henderson earned a unanimous decision victory over his opponent.
