Dana White Makes First Comments On New ESPN Deal, Calls It “Very Big For The Fighters”

This week it was announced that the UFC’s seven year broadcast deal with FOX is officially coming to an end, as the world’s largest Mixed Martial Arts promotion has now agreed to a $1.5 Million deal with ESPN.

The UFC and ESPN will work on airing several fights per year across multiple platforms.

Now, in his first comments on the matter, UFC President Dana White tells ESPN, “ESPN has shown its commitment to not only UFC, but MMA. The amount of promotion our athletes are going to get now, and what ESPN is doing with this new platform, it’s going to be very big for the fighters.”

The UFC’s new five year deal with ESPN will star on January 1 of next year.
