Ever since last year’s historic MayMac event went down, UFC president Dana White has been open and public about his intentions on entering the boxing world as a promoter.
The UFC boss has been linked to the likes of Anthony Joshua, and other notable stars in the sport, while he tries to make his ambitions a reality.
Under the banner of ZUFFA boxing, UFC President Dana White has promised to revolutionize the world’s oldest pay-per-view combat sport, and with his world class promoting skills, he might just be able to do it.
Now, in a new statement to Yahoo Sports!, the UFC boss reveals that the first talent he’s close to signing is unbeaten lightweight champion Mikey Garcia.
Garcia is 38-0 with 30 knockouts, and is the consensus #1 lightweight boxer in the world today. It would be a massive acquisition for the UFC president.
Here’s the word from Kevin Iole.
