During Saturday’s early morning weigh in event, ahead of today’s UFC Liverpool event, main event competitor Darren Till missed weight.
As such, Till was fined 30% of his show money and potential win bonus. Additionally, the UFC and “Wonderboy’s” camp added a special stipulation to their new deal, that Till must weigh in on fight day, and weigh no more than 188 pounds.
This meant that Till could not fully regain all his weight back, and must stay light on fight day, with unknown consequences to his performance.
Ahead of today’s UFC event, Till did hit the scales and make the required fight day limit. Which means today’s UFC Liverpool main event is now official… At the final hour.

We’ve been informed by UFC officials that Darren Till has weighed in at 188lbs which he was contractually obligated to do at 1pm. Stephen Thompson’s camp was in there to verify. Tonight’s main event is officially on. Till actually made 187.3lbs.
