Undefeated UFC welterweight Darren Till is set to headline the highly anticipated fight card of UFC Fight Night 130. With that in mind, the fighter has come forward with a few words concerning his recent missed weight.
Till is set to take on two-time former UFC welterweight title challenger Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson in the night’s big main event. However, Till hit the scales at the official weigh-ins a massive 3.5 pounds overweight.
Thompson has since accepted a catchweight fight against the undefeated competitor for 30 percent of his fight purse. Beyond that, Till is required to make a 188 pound maximum in a secondary weigh-in on Sunday at 1:00 pm GMT.
Speaking to UFC correspondent Megan Olivi, as seen within the video above, Darren Till revealed that he was willing to give his entire fight purse over to “Wonderboy” in order to keep the fight on the card.
“I said he could have 100 percent of my purse as well.” Till said. “Money is not an object for me. I offered that.”
UFC Fight Night 130 goes down May 27 inside the Echo Arena in Till’s hometown of Liverpool, England.
