In the second female scrap of the day, from Liverpool, Lina Lansberg took on Gina Mazany on the preliminary portion of today’s fight card.
In the first round, both females seemed content to trade positional dominance in the clinch against the fence. It was an otherwise lackluster round, hard to score.
In the second round, the two females continued to make it a battle in the clinch against the cage. Mazany landed a momentary takedown, about 90 seconds into the frame, but Lansberg quickly got back up. Another hard round to score, as not many strikes have been thrown, even less have landed.
In round 3, Mazany drove straight forward into the clinch, putting the fight back where we left off in rounds 1 and 2. In this round, the two stood in the center at the 90 second mark and started throwing leather. Trading kicks and punches evenly on the feet. This striking exchange lasted a minute, before the two went back to work in the clinch. That’s where the fight ended, making it up to the judges on this one.
