During his hiatus, UFC President Dana White would go on to claim that St-Pierre did not want to fight. Speaking with longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, St-Pierre revealed that he is sometimes frustrated when he gets a call from the UFC president.
“The relationship I have with Dana (White) and other guys in the UFC is a very special relationship. Maybe one day we’ll talk about the good old times and have a blast, have a laugh. But right now, I am always on the defensive.
“When my phone rings and I see that it is Dana White, I’m like ‘Godd**n.”
