Fight fans are pouring into the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile tonight, May 19, for the latest fight card from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). With the fights now underway, the time has come to take a look at the UFC results.
UFC Fight Night 129 is taking place inside the Movistar Arena for the promotion’s big debut in Chile. Continuing the night of fights, bantamweights Henry Briones and Frankie Saenz are throwing down on UFC Fight Pass for the Santiago crowd.
Briones poured on the pressure in the first round, landing powerful takedowns and pummeling his opponent with stunning blows. However, Saenz was able to give it as well as he took. It proved to be an exciting opening five minutes for the fight.
In the second round, Saenz managed to dish out some damage of his own in the stand up. However, the fighter then managed to take Briones to the canvas.
Back on their feet, the two mixed martial artists bloodied each other with a series of powerful exchanges. However, neither fighter was able to get a finish before the sound of the bell.
Neither fighter appeared gassed in the final round. Saenz locked in a dominant position over his opponent from the ground early on, but failed to dish out much damage from the position.
This one has gone the distance.
