UFC welterweight Kamaru Usman is gearing up for his next big octagon performance. That being said, the fighting phenom recently took a moment to bash another competitor within his division. This time, the fighter has a few heated words for Colby Covington.
Usman is set to face off against Demian Maia in the main event of UFC Fight Night 129. The fight goes down Saturday, May 19, inside the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chila.
Still, Usman has another fighter on his mind. Speaking to TMZ Sports, Usman revealed that he has been targeting a match against Colby Covington for some time now.
“I’ve wanted that fight so long now. I’ve asked for it and everyone knows that I’ve asked for that fight. He’s ducked me or tried to go around me. I think three times they offered him the fight.
“I want to fight him because, honestly, he’s the one guy in the division that I can’t be around. Everybody else, it doesn’t matter whatever fighters hates you or whatever, I could be around them.
“If I see this beady eyed snake looking dude in any room, my heart rate goes up. I just want to punch a hole through his head.”
