Immediately After Fight, “Wonderboy” Points To Till’s Size Advantage As A Problem In Fight

No. 1 ranked two-time former welterweight title challenger Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson put on another octagon performance over the weekend. However, things simply did not go the fighter’s way.

“Wonderboy” headlined UFC Fight Night 130 on Sunday, May 27, in a catchweight bout against undefeated Liverpool native Darren Till. Till missed weight for the event by 3.5 pounds, but Thompson elected to accept a catchweight match up against the heavier fighter.

The two threw down inside the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England, with the fight ultimately going the distance. In the end, Till earned a unanimous decision victory over his opponent.

Speaking to UFC correspondent Megan Olivi after the fight, Stephen Thompson offered his thoughts on the fight.

“He’s a big boy. He’s definitely a big boy. You can feel his weight out there a little bit, but you know what…it is what it is.” Thompson said. For the fighter’s full thoughts, check out the video above.
