UFC superstar Conor McGregor has not competed inside the octagon since earning the UFC lightweight title back in 2016. Since then, “Notorious” has hardly been idle on the sidelines.
Back in Aug. of 2017, McGregor made his big boxing debut against undefeated pugilist legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. “Money” Mayweather ultimately earned a TKO victory over McGregor within the tenth round, but “Notorious” still walked away with the payday of his career.
Now McGregor is facing criminal charges for the alleged attack of a UFC bus dating back to April 5, 2018. “Notorious” is due back in court June 14, 2018.
In the meantime, UFC President Dana White has come forward to claim that he and McGregor are planning to meet in Las Vegas, Nev. to speak on the fighter’s future. With that in mind, it would appear that “Notorious” may be returning to the world of boxing rather than the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Cris Cyborg’s camp is now reporting that Conor McGregor is allegedly interested in a rematch with now retired 50-0 boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. rather than an octagon return.
Cyborg and her camp have inside knowledge, due to the UFC champion’s relationship with the boxing community, and location in Southern California, a hotbed for both the MMA and boxing scene where her and her boyfriend Ray remain highly respected in the hierchy of the Socal fight scene.
