Makwan Amirkhani Defies The Odds, Takes Out Jason "Hick Diaz" Knight

Another exciting day of fights is going down today, May 27, in Liverpool, England. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is hosting UFC Fight Night 130 inside Liverpool’s Echo Arena.

Earning the moniker “Hick Diaz” for his Nick Diaz like ferocity inside the octagon, Jason Knight opened up the first round with a furry. However, Amirkhani had no intention of backing down.

Amirkhani began showboating in front of his opponent, but then suffered a brutal shot from Knight. The fighter was rocked, but Amirkhani managed to make it back to his feet. Knight dropped the fighter again and finished the round in dominant fashion.

Amirkhani opened up the second round with a vengeance. However, Knight consistently landed with his jabs and power punches, dealing some serious damage to his opponent.

Amirkhani managed to take his opponent to the canvas within the final minute of the fight. This fight has gotten the Liverpool crowd on their feet.

The fight quickly made its way to the canvas within the final round. Knight pulled his opponent into his guard and began peppering the fighter with some light ground and pound.

However, neither fighter was able to get a finish before the sound of the bell. This one has gone the distance.
