Former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell has been retired from the sport of mixed martial arts since going on a tough losing streak in 2010. With that in mind, “The Iceman” now wants to work his way up to a fight against fellow former title holder Jon Jones. Now Jones is firing back.
Liddell is 48-years-old and looking to get back into the fighting game. As previously reported, Liddell has officially come out of retirement in hopes of locking down a trilogy match against Tito Ortiz.
However, Liddell also revealed that he wants to get a few fights under him before eventually targeting Jon Jones as his next opponent. Taking to Twitter, “Bones” Jones has decided to offer a response to the recent call out.
Check out what Jones had to say within the Twitter posts down below:
“Old Chuck has been calling me out for years! I get it, I hold pretty much every record in the division. I normally try to respect my elders but if you want it come get it. Id literally fly you out to Albuquerque this weekend.”
