Chad Mendes is gearing up for his big octagon return. With that said, the mixed martial arts phenom already has an opponent in his sights.
Mendes has not competed inside the octagon since suffering a loss to former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar back at The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale event. Speaking on the latest edition of The MMA Hour, Mendes revealed that he is ready for a rematch with the former title holder.
“I honestly would like to get that Frankie fight back. Frankie is a tough little guy and a guy I know I can beat. That fight would be great. I honestly feel that any of the guys in the top 10 I match up with great.
Chad Mendez trains out of Sacramento, California’s highly acclaimed gym Team Alpha Male. The fighter has garnered a stunning record of 17-4 throughout his mixed martial arts career, having taken on some of the toughest and most talented fighters within the sport.
