Rio de Janeiro, Brazil hosted an intense night of fights over the weekend. While the event features a series of octagon wars, there was one fighter in particular that suffered a rather nasty injury from his performance.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) provided the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 224 to fight fans worldwide on Saturday, May 12, from within the Jeunesse Arena.
During the night of fights, welterweights Sultan Aliev and Warlley Alves went toe-to-toe for the Rio de Janeiro crowd. Alvez put on a clinic, brutalizing his opponent with a series of strikes that would ultimately force a doctor stoppage in the second round.
