The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil over the weekend to host the promotion’s latest fight card. However, it would appear that one of the night’s headliner’s suffered a wardrobe malfunction during the live pay-per-view broadcast.
The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion visited the Jeunesse Arena on Saturday, May 12, to host the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 224. Headlining the night’s event, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes went toe-to-toe with rising challenger Raquel Pennington.
Nunes seemingly put on a dominant performance over her opponent, ultimately earning a TKO victory in the final round of their championship bout. During the fight, Nunes’ fingers became caught on Pennington’s sports bra.
The incident caused Pennington to suffer a wardrobe malfunction due to her faulty Reebok sports bra. This is not the first time a female competitor has had issues with the Reebok gear nor is it the first time that Reebok’s gear has caused an female competitor to suffer an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction.
The UFC’s partnership with Reebok has become a polarizing subject for some fight fans and fighters alike.
