Set to headline this weekend’s Bellator 199 event, Ultimate fighter winner Ryan Bader faces off with King Mo in hopes to advance to the next round of the Bellator heavyweight tournament.
Bader is already the promotion’s light-heavyweight champion, so this weekend’s main event signifies the long time 205 pound fighter’s move up in weight.
Able to tip the scale tomorrow at a staggering 266 pounds, Bader will come in way under the limit, but still plans to cut weight ahead of his weekend scrap.
ESPN has it:
Not sure if he ultimately decided to do it or not, but Ryan Bader told me he was considering getting into the sauna on Thursday of fight week (today) and cutting one pound for Saturday’s heavyweight debut, just for the familiarity of what he’s done his entire career at 205.
