See Ya! Following Quick Fedor Loss, Frank Mir No Longer A Bellator MMA Fighter

Former two-time UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir made his big Bellator debut over the weekend. However, following the fighter’s brutal defeat in the match up, Mir is now once again a free agent.

Mixed martial arts promotion Bellator MMA was in Rosemont, Illinois on Saturday, April 28, to host the highly anticipated fight card for Bellator 198. From inside the Allstate Arena, heavyweight legend Fedor Emelianenko headlined the night’s event by facing off against Frank Mir.

“The Last Emperor” made short work of his opponent, earning a first round knockout victory over Mir. Speaking to TASS.com, Mir revealed that his contract with Bellator MMA was only for a single fight. Now the former title holder is a free agent.

“I’m fine with health, I signed a contract with Bellator, but it was not for several fights.” Mir said. “I do not know where I will continue my career.”
