Following Darren Till’s missed weight, upcoming opponent Stephen Thompson has now come forward to reveal that the undefeated fighter actually weighed more during his second weigh-in.
Darren Till and “Wonderboy” are set to headline the highly anticipated fight card of UFC Fight Night 130 on Sunday, May 27. However, Till came in to the official weigh-ins a staggering total of 3.5 pounds overweight.
The fighter was granted an extra hour to attempt another weigh-in due to a “family emergency.” Speaking to MMA Junkie, Stephen Thompson has come forward to reveal that Till actually weighed more in his second weigh-in attempt.
“A little disappointed that he didn’t make weight.” Thompson said. “He comes in to make weight at 173, gets an hour to come back and comes back even heavier. It’s kind of disappointing to come all this way and your opponent doesn’t make weight.”
