Sheldon Silver is a former lawyer and former Speaker of the New York State Assembly. Now the politician has been found guilty of corruption.
Silver reportedly plaid a large role in the delay of bill A04146A passing through the assembly. Consequently, mixed martial arts did not face legalization in New York State for quite some time.
