“The Poor, Second-Hand, Overwashed, Hand-Me-Down Version” Of Conor McGregor

Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has come forward with some critical words on Conor McGregor’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach Dillon Danis.

Dillon Danis first gained attention in the MMA world for being a coach to Conor McGregor, arguably the largest name in MMA. That being said, Danis finally made his mixed martial arts debut over the weekend.

The fighter faced off for the highly anticipated fight card of Bellator 198 on Saturday, April 28. Danis went toe-to-toe with Kyle Walker, a fighter that was 2-3 in his career with two consecutive submission losses to his name.

Danis dished out the fighter’s third consecutive submission loss with a swift first round finish via toe hold. Now former UFC title holder Michael Bisping has come forward with his thoughts on the BJJ phenom turned fighter.

Speaking on his podcast Believe You Me, Bisping let his opinions fly:

“Not only is he Conor McGregor’s jiu-jitsu coach, he’s seeming to try to morph and copy McGregor’s antics. Certainly his clothing. Conor does wear some fucking really nice, cool shit and Dillon Danis is like the poor, second-hand, overwashed, hand-me-down version because his clothes are fucking terrible. But, he’s trying to be Conor so hard, it’s laughable. He even said, ‘After this weekend, I will own Bellator.’ That sounds vaguely like a line where Conor said, ‘I will own boxing.’ He probably knows that this kind of behavior, as it did with me, encourages more people to want to see you get knocked out than win. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. The bullshit that he’s doing, the shit that he’s spewing is working.”
