Former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson is currently recovering from a devastating leg injury. With that in mind, a video of “El Cucuy” hitting the bags with his wounded leg has made its way to the internet.
Tony Ferguson was initially set to face off against Khabib Nurmagomedov in a battle for the UFC lightweight title back at UFC 223. However, “El Cucuy” injured himself just six days before the fight.
Consequently, Ferguson vs. Nurmagomedov was cancelled for the fourth time in UFC history. “The Eagle” would go on to earn the undisputed title with a unanimous decision victory over Al Iaquinta, while Tony Ferguson was submitted to surgery for a torn LCL after being stripped of his interim title.
Post-surgery, Ferguson is now on the fast track to recovery. Taking to the internet, the fighter has now offered a video of himself hitting the bags in training. Check out the fighter using his injured leg within the video provided above.
