The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is now set to make its big debut in Russia later this year. With the event quickly approaching, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion has finally landed on a headliner for the fight card.
The event is set to go down within Moscow on Sept. 15. As reported by MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani on the latest edition of The MMA Hour, former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum is now set to face off against Alexey Oleynik in the night’s main event.
Werdum will be looking to bounce back from a tough knockout loss to Alexander Volkov, as he faces off against his fellow grappling ace. Junior Albini, on the other hand, earned a swift first round submission victory over Junior Albini back at UFC 224.
