UFC superstar Conor McGregor has gone on to earn the moniker “Mystic Mac” for his tendency to attempt to predict his fights’ outcomes before ever stepping inside the octagon. Well, this time, the Ireland native’s predictions came true.
Conor McGregor was cage side back at UFC 179. Jose Aldo was champion of the featherweight division at the time and faced off against Chad Mendes in the night’s main event rematch.
During the fight, in which Aldo would eventually earn a unanimous decision victory, McGregor was asked by a fellow cage side fan if he could handle Mendes and Aldo. McGregor responded, “I will stop these guys.”
“Notorious” would go on to face Mendes at UFC 189, ultimately earning a second round TKO victory over the fighter. Next, McGregor shocked the world by knocking out Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds at UFC 194.
