UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier only has one loss on his professional record, having suffered a unanimous decision defeat to heated rival Jon Jones. In their highly anticipated rematch, Cormier was dealt a devastating knockout defeat. However, the loss did not last for long.
Cormier and Jones had their big rematch in the main event of UFC 214. Jones managed to knock out his opponent for the UFC light heavyweight title in swift fashion. Joe Rogan would go on to interview Cormier directly after the loss, as Cormier wept for the loss of his belt and his second defeat at the hands of his rival.
However, the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) would later flag Jon Jones for a failed drug test. Consequently, the fighter was stripped of his title, the knockout victory was overturned to a no contest and Cormier was reinstated as the reigning champion.
