UFC superstar Conor McGregor is in a bit of a precarious place with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) at the moment. Now it would appear that the former two-division champion was unable to make a meeting with the UFC president over the weekend.
“Notorious” is due back in court June 14 for misdemeanor charges of assault and felony charges of criminal mischief dating back to an incident on Thursday, April 5. The bus filled with red corner fighters for UFC 223 were attacked by a large group of individuals, allegedly lead by Conor McGregor.
Khabib Nurmagomedov had a confrontation with SBG Ireland’s Artem Lobov days earlier and is suspected to have been the target of the attack. While “The Eagle” was unharmed, several individuals were affected by the fracas.
UFC President Dana White was initially set to meet with Conor McGregor in Liverpool, England over the weekend, as White was in Liverpool for UFC Fight Night 130. However, it would appear that the meeting never took place.
Speaking at the UFC Fight Night 130 Post-Fight Press Conference, Dana White revealed the news.
“Conor and I are going to meet in Vegas. … He and I haven’t seen each since New York. So we haven’t seen each other, we haven’t talked, nothing, so we need to get together soon.”
“[What happens next with him] depends on what goes on with him in New York in June.”
“We can’t determine anything about what’s next for him until June is cleared up.”
