Mixed martial arts phenom Bec Rawlings put on a stunning performance at a truly historic event over the weekend. Now the fighter has come forward with a few words following her huge victory.
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship pulled off a magnificent feat on Saturday, June 2. The promotion hosted its inaugural fight card, the first state sanctioned bare-knuckle event within the United States since 1889.
It has been 127 years since a sanctioned bare-knuckle brawl has gone down in the states and none other than fighting phenom “Rowdy” Bec Rawlings was on the card. The competitor went toe-to-toe with Alma Garcia from inside the Cheyenne Ice & Events Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Rawlings made short work of her opponent, ultimately earning a second round TKO victory. Speaking to MMA Fighting after the match, Rawlings offered some of her thoughts on the big victory.
“I can’t even explain it. It’s just overwhelming. All my hard work has paid off and it just feels good to win and go out there and showcase what I can really do. I feel like I was the best me I could show tonight and I did it.”
