Back in 2016, CM Punk suffered a tough defeat in his octagon debut. Now two years later, the former WWE star is coming back to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
CM Punk, known outside of the WWE ring as Phil Brooks, suffered a bitter loss to Mickey Gall back at UFC 203. After taking two years to sharpen his skills, Punk is now set to return to the octagon on the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 225.
For the match up, Punk will be facing off against Mike Jackson. Jackson also suffered a tough loss to Mickey Gall in his octagon debut, creating much to prove for Jackson and Punk alike.
UFC 225 goes down June 9 inside the United Center in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois. The event will be featured live on pay-per-view.
With the fight now only days away, a side-by-side video of Punk and Jackson training has made its way to the internet. Within the footage, Punk can be seen seemingly looking much sharper than he was at his octagon debut.
Jackson, on the other hand, can be seen looking somewhat underwhelming in his training. Check it out for yourself within the video provided above.
