Well, the time has finally come. Phil Brooks, better known by his WWE moniker CM Punk, is now stepping inside the octagon for the big octagon return. Now the time has come to check out the UFC results from the exciting match up.
CM Punk made his big octagon debut against Mickey Gall, ultimately suffering a devastating submission loss to the fighter within the first round. Two years later, Punk is now set to make his return to the sport in the opening live pay-per-view fight for the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 225.
UFC 225 is going down inside the United Center in Punk’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, June 9. Kicking off the night’s pay-per-view main card, CM Punk is going toe-to-toe with Mike Jackson.
With Mike Jackson and CM Punk having both suffered UFC debut defeats to Mickey Gall, Punk and Jackson have created a unique rivalry with each other. Now the two budding mixed martial artists have entered the octagon.
CM Punk came out of the gate with a furry. The fighter immediately began controlling the pace. The professional wrestler turned fighter eventually landed a takedown on his opponent.
However, Jackson managed to get back to his feet before suffering too much significant damage. This was seemingly a winning round for CM Punk.
Jackson managed to get his opponent to the canvas in the second round. Dishing out some brutal ground and pound, Jackson managed to bloody Punk’s face.
This was a dominant round for Mike Jackson.
The two mixed martial artists kept things largely standing in the final round. CM Punk gave it his all, but was seemingly unable to keep up with Mike Jackson’s striking.
This one has gone the distance.
