Dana White Targeting Khabib vs. McGregor, But Not In Russia — Here’s The Update

UFC superstar Conor McGregor is now facing criminal charges for the alleged attack on a UFC bus from April 5. The target of the attack was reportedly Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Ever since then, a fight between the recently stripped “Notorious” and newly crowned UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has been on many fight fans’ minds. It was recently rumored that the two mixed martial artists would headline the UFC’s debut card in Moscow, Russia.

However, it would appear that the UFC president has other plans. Speaking on the highly popular podcast UFC Unfiltered, UFC President Dana White revealed that he wants McGregor and “The Eagle” to face off. However, he does not believe it should happen in Russia.

“That’s the fight to make. But there’s no fight to make until we figure out what happens with Conor.”

“Khabib won’t fight [in Russia]. The fight in Moscow is going to be a Fight Night. It’s going to be on Fight Pass. We’re just testing it out out there to see how it goes. It’s a place we’ve been trying to get into for a long time, and we’re doing it.”
