Dana White Wants Yoel Romero Fighting For a Light Heavyweight Title

Yoel Romero missed weight for his interim title fight against Luke Rockhold. Most recently, “The Soldier of God” missed weight for his title fight rematch against Robert Whittaker.

Now UFC President Dana White has come forward to reveal that he believes Romero should move up in weight following his next octagon performance.

Yoel Romero missed weight for UFC 225 by 0.2 pounds. Consequently, the mixed martial artist is no longer competing for the title.

Still, Romero and Whittaker are set to headliner UFC 225 from within the United Center in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, June 9. Speaking in a recent media scrum, Dana White revealed that he believes Yoel Romero should consider moving up in weight.

“I don’t know, let’s see what happens tomorrow.” White said. “I don’t know. If he wins, I think he should move up to 205 pounds and fight the No. 1 contender to see who fights for the title.”
