Dillashaw Kicks Up The Heat, Kicks Off War Of Words Ahead Of Garbrandt Rematch

UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw is now set to face off against former title holder Cody Garbrandt in a highly anticipated title fight rematch. Now Dillashaw has come forward with some heated words ahead of the match up.

Dillashaw and Garbrandt are set to settle their score at UFC 227. The highly anticipated fight card will take place Aug. 4 in Los Angeles, Calif. The event will be featured live on pay-per-view.

Speaking to media at the recent UFC 227 media lunch scrum, T.J. Dillashaw offered his thoughts on having a rematch with “No Love.”

“I love getting rich for knocking Cody out.”

“I think there’s a lot of holes I didn’t show as well in his game when I finished him in the second round. I still believe those same openings will be there. I don’t think he’s an intelligent fighter to switch up what he does.”

“It’s a lot different this time. He can’t be such a jerk – he just got finished. For as much crap as he talked, he deserves to get his ass kicked again.”

“Defending your belt is all you need to get motivated. I’m one of those guys that always has to be pulled back for being in the gym. I’ve lost it once and wasn’t happy about it, so I’m never going to let it happen again.”
