Hip-hop artist Drake released his new album Scorpion on Friday, June 29. Following a reference from one of the songs, many fight fans are beginning to wonder if Drake dropped Max Holloway’s name in the album.
Drake’s 25-song double album is getting positive reviews so far, offering fans of the rapper a bevy of different sounds. In the song “8 Out Of 10,” Drake drops a line of lyrics that seem to lightly hint to “blessed” UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway.
Here are the lyrics:
“Max said they only bless when they attached to you/The only deadbeats is whatever beats I been rappin’ to/And the product is still the best though/It’s only good in my city because I said so/Just to fit the estate man, I had to cop a feel like presto, voilà, tada/Never a matter of ‘could I?’ or ‘should I?’/Kiss my son on the forehead then kiss your ass goodbye/As luck would have it I’ve settled into my role as the good guy/I guess luck is on your side”
Now Max Holloway has taken to social media with a collection of responses to the news. Check it out below:
