UFC lightweight Justin Gaethje was briefly out an opponent for his upcoming main event octagon performance. With a new opponent having been locked in for the fighter, Gaethje has come forward with a statement.
Al Iaquinta and Justin Gaethje were initially set to throw down in the main event of UFC Fight Night 135. The highly anticipated fight card goes down Aug 25 from within the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska.
However, Iaquinta has since pulled out of the match up. Consequently, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was left scrambling for a new opponent.
