UFC superstar Conor McGregor and reigning UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov having seemingly been on a collision course ever since “Notorious” allegedly targeted Nurmagomedov in the April 5 bus attack. Now “The Eagle” has revealed that plans are in motion for a possible match up between the two.
McGregor allegedly lead a large entourage backstage of Brooklyn, New York’s Barclays Center on April 5, where the group reportedly attacked a bus filled with red corner fighters for UFC 223. The intended target was reportedly Khabib Nurmagomedov, as the fighter had an altercation with McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov days earlier.
Speaking in a recent interview, as provided by an insider source, Nurmagomedov revealed that he will soon be flying to Calif. to begin his training camp. The champion then exclaimed that the UFC is working on a fight against former title holder Conor McGregor.
However, Nurmagomedov explained that he is down to fight whichever contender steps up to the challenge.
