UFC welterweight Leon Edwards put on a victorious performance over the weekend. After the fight, Edwards decided to call out Jorge Masvidal. Now the fighter’s manager has come forward with a response.
The highly anticipated fight card for UFC Fight Night 132 went down on Saturday. On June 23 from within the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore, a series of exciting match ups went down for fight fans worldwide.
Headlining the night’s event, Leon Edwards took on mixed martial arts veteran Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. The two fighters ultimately went the distance, with Edwards earning a unanimous decision victory over his opponent.
In his post-fight interview, Edwards decided to call out Jorge Masvidal. Masvidal is currently on a two fight losing streak, having suffered a unanimous decision loss to Stephen Thompson most recently.
MMA reported Ariel Helwani has since reported a response to the call out. Taking to Twitter, Helwani revealed that Masvidal’s manager Abraham Kawa had the following to say in response “Jorge is sleeping.”
