UFC superstar Conor McGregor drew the ire of fighters and fight fans around the world when he allegedly attacked a bus filled with red corner fighters for UFC 223 on April 5. While UFC Hall of Famer Matt Serra initially had heated words on the fighter, Serra has since decided to take a different perspective on the matter.
Fighters stationed inside a bus within the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York were attacked on Thursday, April 5. McGregor allegedly lead the attack that left multiple people injured.
Consequently, “Notorious” is now facing misdemeanor charges of assault and a felony charge of criminal mischief. Matt Serra, who once chastised McGregor for the incident, has now come forward with a new statement on the matter.
“Sometimes I think I’m too harsh on certain people over certain things.” Serra said, as seen within the footage provided. “That was totally wrong what Conor did, but I’m looking at it through [different eyes].”
“Everything I had a beef with, I still stand by.” Serra later added. “But I think when he gets a little bit older, he’s going to think ‘Everybody makes f**king mistakes.'”
