Professional wrestler turned mixed martial artist Phil Brooks, better known by his WWE moniker CM Punk, finally made his long awaited octagon return over the weekend. However, things did not go the former WWE star’s way.
CM Punk first made his octagon debut against Mickey Gall. Gall ultimately dominated the Chicago native for a first round submission victory.
Two years later, CM Punk entered the octagon once more on Saturday, June 9, for the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 225. Appearing on the night’s live pay-per-view main card, Punk went toe-to-toe with Mike Jackson.
Jackson put on a dominant performance over his opponent, ultimately earning a unanimous decision victory over CM Punk. Check out a photo of Punk’s damaged face following the fight down below:
