It would appear that Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Wanderlei Silva are not only getting ready to throw down once more, but at a different weight class entirely.
Jackson and Silva have a long standing rivalry of bad blood, that was thought to have seemingly boiled over after the years. However, nearly a decade after their latest fight, Silva and “Rampage” have been locked in for a fourth fight.
Jackson and Silva faced off twice under the Pride banner, with Silva finishing his opponent both times. That being said, Jackson earned a definitive finish over “The Axe Murderer” when they met inside the octagon for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Now the two mixed martial artist are locked in for a fight under the banner of Bellator MMA. The match will take place in a yet undecided venue within California on Sept. 29.
MMA journalist Ariel Helwani has since come forward to report that the fight will be at heavyweight. Silva told the reporter that he plans to end Jackson, “I’m going to kill this fat guy.”
