Professional wrestler turned mixed martial artist CM Punk suffered another tough loss over the weekend. Now a clip from the fight has revealed what was seemingly the moment the former WWE superstar realized things were not going his way.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, June 9, for the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 225. Featured on the night’s card, CM Punk went toe-to-toe with fellow 0-1 fighter Mike Jackson.
Jackson used his kickboxing experience to effectively dominate CM Punk from the stand up, piecing up the fighter with power shot after power shot. The fight still ultimately went the distance, with Jackson earning a unanimous decision victory.
In the video provided above, CM Punk can be seen seemingly buckling to the strikes of his opponent. With no answer to Jackson’s more well rounded and advanced skill set, Punk was left largely helpless in the match up.
