Tonight, June 19, mixed martial artists are throwing down for a shot at earning a contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). With the night of fights now here, the time has come to take a look at the UFC results.

The second week of season two for Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series is going down tonight from within the UFC Gym in Las Vegas, Nev. Continuing the night of fights, lightweight Giga Chikadze and Austin Springer are going toe-to-toe for a chance at landing a spot on the UFC roster.

Chikadze opened up the fight with a brutal pace, punishing his opponent with some damaging striking. Springer seemed to be getting the lesser in the exchanges, as Chikadze is a more experienced kickboxer.

However, Springer managed to get his opponent to the canvas. From here, Springer pummeled his opponent with ground and pound.

In the second round, Springer began to dominate his opponent from the canvas. Time and time again, the fighter managed to get his opponent to the canvas and dish out some ground and pound.

The final round was a quick one. Springer once again took his opponent to the canvas. This time around, the fighter stunned Chikadze with his ground and pound.

From there, the fighter took his opponent’s back and sank in a rear-naked choke on Chikadze.
