That Time Renzo Gracie Put A Man To Sleep, Then Stood On His Neck

Renzo Gracie is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu legend. A member of BJJ royalty, Gracie put on an illustrious career within the sport of mixed martial arts. However, the fighter’s career did not go without its controversy.

Back in 1995, Renzo Gracie went toe-to-toe with Judoka Ben Spijkers at WCC 1. The fight did not last long, as Gracie earned a first round submission victory over his opponent.

Having choked out Spijkers with a rear-naked choke, Gracie was the only fighter left standing at the end of the match. After the fight had been called to a stop, Gracie stepped onto the neck of his downed and unconscious opponent.
