UFC middleweight contender Yoel Romero was not able to make weight for his upcoming title fight. Now a video of the fighter looking greatly fatigued following his botched weigh-in attempt has made its way to the internet.
Yoel Romero was initially set to face off against Robert Whittaker in a highly anticipated title fight rematch at UFC 225. However, the main event has since been jeopardized.
Yoel Romero initially hit the scales a pound heavy at 186 pounds. After being given a second weigh-in attempt, Romero made it down to 185.2 pounds.
Still too heavy, Romero is no longer eligible to compete for the UFC middleweight title. However, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has yet to determined whether the fight will be cancelled or will continue as a non-title fight headliner for the evening.
Check out a video of Yoel Romero seemingly debilitated by the weight cut down below, as provided by MMA Junkie.
