UFC flyweight Jarred Brooks kicked off Friday night’s big fight card with a bang. Following the fighter’s stunning self-knockout loss, Brooks has now come forward with a statement.
The highly anticipated fight card of UFC Fight Night 131 went down on June 1, offering fight fans a series of exciting match ups from inside the Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, New York. Opening up the night’s UFC Fight Pass prelims, Jarred Brooks went toe-to-toe with Jose Torres.
Brooks was seemingly getting the better of his opponent, until something quite unexpected happened. Within the second round, the fighter picked up Torres and attempted to slam the flyweight into the canvas.
Brooks bashed into the ground, knocking himself out rather than damaging his opponent. Torres took advantage of the moment and finished off Brooks with a few ground and pound shots.

“@ShortyTorres125 your lucky that I knocked myself out and you didn’t do sh*t to me that whole fight . Just seen your after fight interview well played but if we run that sh*t back I beat you 9 times out of 10 and the only time you do is me kOing my self!”
