Ever since UFC superstar Conor McGregor allegedly targeted Khabib Nurmagomedov in a fracas that took place on April 5, the two mixed martial artists have seemingly been on a collision course set to crash inside the octagon. Now a new report has revealed that there are three dates being considered for the fight.
“Notorious” allegedly lead a large entourage backstage of Brooklyn, New York’s Barclays Center on Thursday, April 5. The large group then attacked a bus filled with UFC fighters.
“The Eagle” was reportedly the target, as Nurmagomedov has an altercation with McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov days earlier. Since then, McGregor has been charged with misdemeanor charges of assault and a felony charge of criminal mischief.
Now mixed martial arts journalist Ariel Helwani has come forward over social media to report that three different fight cards are being considered for a possible title fight between reigning UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and former title holder Conor McGregor.
Helwani reported that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is hoping for a September fight card. However, the already announced UFC 229 pay-per-view in Las Vegas, Nev. for Oct. is also on the table. Beyond that, a fight in Dec. is also not out of the question.
