Former UFC heavyweight title challenger Alistair Overeem is gearing up for his next big octagon performance. Now a video of the fighter jokingly intimidating MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani has gone public.
Overeem is coming off of a tough knockout loss to Francis Ngannou. Now the former K-1 Grand Prix champion will be looking to get back inside the winning column as he faces off against Curtis Blaydes on the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 225.
Ahead of the event, Overeem recently took a moment to answer a few questions from Ariel Helwani. The heavyweight fighter shortly halted the interview to ask a question of his own.
“You were nervous when you saw me, though.” Overeem said. “Why was that?”
“Because you always attack me.” Helwani responded. “You are very physical, but I know the physicality comes from love.”
