UFC middleweight contender Yoel Romero has missed weight for his last two bouts within the division. Consequently, the “Soldier of God” has revealed that he is interested in testing out the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s light heavyweight division. Despite these claims, the fighter has been locked down for another middleweight match up.
Yoel Romero is coming off a tough decision loss to reigning UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker. Now UFC Canada’s official Twitter account has revealed that Romero is now set to face tough division contender Paulo Costa.
The fight is set to go down on the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 230. The fight will take place Nov. 3 from within the Madison Square Garden arena in New York. The event will be featured live on pay-per-view.
Paulo Costa is currently undefeated as a mixed martial artist, having most recently earned a devastating knockout victory over Uriah Hall. Check out the UFC’s official announcement of the news down below.
