The #1 ranked UFC featherweight, Brian Ortega lost out on his earned right to fight for the UFC’s 145 pound strap when Max Holloway suddenly pulled out of last weekend’s co-main event on short notice.
Now, in title shot limbo, and awaiting the word on Holloway’s health, and Ortega has some free time on his hands.
Taking to his Instagram story, the top UFC contender started answering questions from his legion of fans in a friendly Q&A.
One question though we thought interesting. A fan asked Brian how much weight he cuts to make it down to the UFC’s 145 pound divison, and shockling ORtega confesses that his walk around weight is in excess of 185 pounds.
This means that in order for the Los Angeles native to make championship weight he cuts 40 pounds.
