UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway and undefeated rising title challenger Brian Ortega were initially set to meet inside the octagon this weekend. With the fight being no more, Ortega has come forward with a few words on the matter.
Holloway and Ortega were originally locked in to throw down on the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 226. The two mixed martial artists would have competed in the live pay-per-view co-main event on Saturday, July 7, as part of International Fight Week.
However, Holloway has since been pulled from the match up after suffering concussion-like symptoms. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has since revealed that Brian Ortega will not be accepting a short notice replacement opponent.
Taking to Twitter, Ortega has decided to use Holloway’s famous line “It is what is is” in his latest social media message to respond to the matter. Check it out below:
“It is what it is. We’ll run this sh*t later.”
